@ work they brought in a model once a week for some life drawing, also providing tips and instructions by one of their lead concept artists. All figures are done in 18″ x 24″ newsprint. Some are done in charcoal and compressed charcoal, and watered down indian ink and brush. Most poses were a minute or less.. some 2 minutes. Very very few were 5mins.

Have a good base for the wings finished off… going to continue on with the environment.

It’s late at night and spent an hour or so working on the wings… just like the red bull commercials.. SHE HAS WINGS!!! Or is that more of a tampon commercial? errr, whatever… WINGS, i tell you! WINGS!!!

Not much… but I added HANDS!!! And SHOES!!! Gee-willakers!!! Anywho, I’m somewhat done of the main body and now moving on to some angel wings research. Stay tuned, folks! 🙂

Working on a new piece. This time I’m not going to wing it, no pun intended. I’m using quite a bit of reference, making sure everything looks somewhat correct, like folds in the clothing and hair, ect. This is going to be pretty random but it’s an angel dressed in urban garb floating in a windstorm inside a high school classroom. I’m not sure exactly how I came up with this idea, but I think it’s a long the lines of a long theory or statement wrapped into one image that perhaps anyone, including an average Jane Doe, can be an undercover angel. That someone with absolute selflessness in a world of the shallow and self-absorbed might one day sprout wings and fly away. Deep, I know! HA… we’ll see how this one turns out… this is what I have so far. (note: i realized now that she doesn’t really look like a teen, but maybe i can still work with it)

Quick painting.. well not that quick, but yea, here ya go.
